Wow, the holidays are done… and it is 2008! Thank you everybody for the many many Christmas and New Year”s cards we received… It is so nice to keep in touch with everybody in Japan.
Our Christmas was so busy… it seems like every night we had a dinner or party to attend. I know, I know,,, tough life.. haha!!
We had a real pine tree for a Christmas tree.. it cost 60 dollars and we kept in a tree stand with sugar water . It stayed fresh until early January when it started to dry out and drop pine needles everywhere. What a mess… but it was nice to have the real smell of pine here for Christmas.
We went to church on Christmas Eve and spent the day at my parent’s home the next day. The winter holidays were also filled with trying to keep Jessica entertained.
We went tobogganning often, and she got some cross-country skiis for Christmas.. so learning to ski was fun. She built a large snow fort in the front yard ready for snow ball fights with the kids.
The weather is always below zero so the snow is not wet enough to make a snowball. We hope it will warm up next month a bit.
Peter is continuing to work a lot,, and I am busy too.
We have had some e-mails asking about homestays in the spring… and it seems like it will be busy here again… I think we will have to move to a larger house ![]()
Happy 2008 Everybody!!
