The population of Winnipeg is approximately 650,000 people, and it is a real “melting pot” of cultures. 5 large shopping centers and a large downtown shopping area make it a great city for purchasing uniquely Canadian goods.
There are many large parks, hiking trails, biking paths, and picnic sites to enjoy the “great outdoors” within the city limits.
Falcon Lake, Grand Beach, Winnipeg Beach, and many smaller lakes are all only an hour away.
We think that spring and summer times are the best times to visit. We really enjoy bbq cooking when the weather gets nice, and the smells of steaks on the bbq are a great smell of the summertime!
